Now is the best time to be a buyer in the limousine market. There are literally thousands of limos for sale all over the world. The question is simple; which one is right for you? Although finding a great bargain is key, you don’t want to end up with someone elses problems. To assist you in finding the perfect limo, here is a checklist we recommend you to use during your inspection.
_____ Car Fax Report. This will give you a brief yet important history of the vehicle you are considering. Keep in mind that your vehicle has undergone a major tranformation into a limousine. Certain things are not as important but still relavant.
_____ Title Check. Inquire into who is the title holder for the limo you are purchasing. NEVER PAY FOR A VEHICLE UNLESS TO HAVE SEEN A COPY OF THE TITLE AND HAVE SPOKEN WITH THE LEIN HOLDER DIRECT. Your funds should always be routed to them first and foremost.
_____ Test Drive. Never assume the vehicle drives right. Always take the limo for a ride around the block. If possible, take it on the highway. Be sure to inquire about how the limo works and listen for suspension and drive-shaft noises.
_____ Check the undercarriage. There are several limos for sale all over the world. Several have been subjected to different climates. Be sure to take a good look underneath the limo. This will paint a big picture on the true wear and tear on the vehicle.
_____ Computer diagnostice. It is not uncommon to see dashboard warning lights on limos. Some are more serious than others but it is important to always get them checked out. A good computer diagnostice will give you the details.
_____ Limo for sale quick glance. Check all electronics including TVs, DVD player, stereo, audio, lighting and accessories. Look closely for rips on the seats and dents/dings on the exterior paint.
_____ Under the hood. Ask for maintenance records on the limo you are considering. Check the history for oil changes, tune-ups and general work performaed. In most cases it’s hard to determine the engines condition with just a quick look but be sure to search for obvious flaws and burning smells. It never husts to ask the opinion of a professional mechanic.
_____ A/C and Heat. These features are often overlooked on limos for sale but don’t forget to check them out. Simply flip on the climate controls to assure it is working properly.
_____ Paint and exterior. Although is isn’t uncommon for a limo to be re-painted or repaired, but look for reoccuring stress cracks and body damge. This could signify a serious structual problem.
